Father was an immigrant from Italy who settled in Kentucky    Victor was enrolled into the Kentucky Military Academy as a child and graduated from the institution with honors    Moved to Hollywood in the late 1930s and performed at the Pasadena Playhouse   World War II: Petty Officer  United States Coast Guard aboard the Troop Transport U.S.S Admiral Mayo    First cinematic movie: “The Housekeeper’s Daughter” 1939
